School is just starting in our area this week.  Let’s take a few minutes and pray for our teachers and students as they represent Jesus in the classroom.  Here are some ideas of how you can be praying for our campuses:

 

Pray for the Christian teachers to start strong

  • Pray that students would see Jesus in their actions
  • Pray that they would love students with Christ’s love
  • Pray for them to be faithful in praying for their students’ needs
  • Pray that each teacher would see their classroom as a mission field and represent Christ well in that context
  • Pray for home school parents to maintain a proper balance of home, work, and school responsibilities.  Home school parents have to be master multi-taskers; many of them are preparing curriculum for multiple grades every day!

Pray for the school administration and staff

  • Pray for School administrators to regularly turn to Jesus when faced with difficult circumstances
  • Pray that they would know the God of all comfort as they are dealing with needy children in troubled homes
  • Pray for there to be a spirit of forgiveness when mistakes are made by students, teachers, or parents
  • Pray that they would lean increasingly on the strength of our all-powerful God, not depending solely on their own experience and wisdom
  • Pray for unity among the Christian staff on our campuses, that each staff member would always seek both the student’s best interest and the glory of God in every situation

Pray for the Classrooms

  • Pray for truth to reign supreme in every interaction with students and in every piece of instruction
  • Pray for teachers to keep a proper balance of classroom preparation and time spent with family and church
  • Pray that the love of Jesus, made manifest in the life of every Christian teacher, would make the classroom a place of shelter
  • Pray for supernatural patience as teachers deal with learning disabilities, government paperwork, discipline issues, difficult parents, test score requirements, and demands of the administration.
