Teaching Outline

Growning believers intentionally pursue the Lord together.

1.  When we respond to the Gospel message in repentance and faith, we are united with Christ and are then able to take part in fellowship with Him on a daily basis. Eph. 2:8-9, 1 Corinthians 1:9, John 15:4-5

2.  As disciples pursue a deeper relationship with Jesus, we grow in our ability to properly relate to and love other believers. John 13:35, Acts 2:42, Philippians 2:1-2

Maturing disciples fully participate in life together.

3.  Authentic Biblical community is built, maintained and strengthened as believers “share a common life” together through practice and participation of the “one another” statements of Scripture. Mark 9:50, John 13:34, Romans 12:5, 10, 15, 16; 15:7, 14; 16:16, 1 Corinthians 1:10, 11:33, 12:25, Galatians 5:13; 6:2, Ephesians 4:32, 5:21, Colossians 3:13, 16, 1 Thessalonians 5:11,  Hebrews 10:24, 1 Peter 4:9, 10; 5:5, James 5:16 and 1 John 1:7.

So we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one of another. Romans 12:5,

Whoever isolates himself seeks his own desire; he breaks out against all sound judgment. A fool takes no pleasure in understanding, but only in expressing his opinion. Proverbs 18:1-2

Christ-Followers actively partner in the Gospel together.

4.  God is glorified when believers actively proclaim the “Good News” of the Gospel to a lost and dying world. Philippians 1:3-11, Philemon: 17

5.  God is glorified when believers Gospel one another. Hebrews 10:24-24

Hebrews 3:12-14

12 Take care, brothers, lest there be in any of you an evil, unbelieving heart, leading you to fall away from the living God. 13 But exhort one another every day, as long as it is called “today,” that none of you may be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin. 14 For we have come to share in Christ, if indeed we hold our original confidence firm to the end.
